In this post, I will be sharing some of the best Cape Cod bakery shops that you’ll definitely want to try next time your around! As a Cape Cod native and a major sweet tooth, I think I am qualified to create this list of the best bakeries on the Cape. There are a good amount of bakeries on the Cape and some are really good but not all are created equal!
Depending on what you’re craving many of these bakeries specialize in what they make such as French or Italian. And some bakeries will specialize in mainly just one bakery item such as cupcakes.

1. Eat Cake for Breakfast | Brewster
Firstly, we have Eat Cake for Breakfast in Brewster which is an amazing bakery serving pastries, croissants, cookies, and so much more. They also serve coffee which is great because this place sells out fast so you have to get there early in the morning for the best selection.
2. Cupcake Charlie’s | Mashpee
Secondly, we have Cupcake Charlie’s located in the middle of the Mashpee Commons. Cupcake Charlie’s is and has been my favorite place to get a cupcake on the Cape! Did you know that Cupcake Charlie’s was on the TV show Cupcake Wars? (They did not end up winning but still super cool!)
3. Little Miss Cupcape | Hyannis
Thirdly, we have Little Miss Cupcape in Hyannis on Main Street which is a bakery that focuses on cupcakes. But Little Miss Cupcape has a lot more than just that such as custom cakes, buttercream stuffed cookies, buckeyes, frosting shots, and more. Also, this shop serves Four Seas Ice Cream and serves alcohol.
4. Beth’s Bakery & Cafe | Sandwich
Beth’s Bakery is a true gem located in Sandwich. Beth’s specializes in Scones, Pastries, Muffins, Breads, Cookies, Salads, Quiches, Wraps, Soups and sandwiches, Fabulous Cakes, Wedding Cakes, Coffee and tea, Catering & Take Out. (Their cakes are amazingly good!) That is a lot to take but I promise you have to try Beth’s Bakery, you will not regret it!
5. Cottage Street Bakery | Orleans
Another one of my favorite bakeries on the Cape is this quaint hidden gem Cottage Street Bakery in Orleans. They serve pastries, muffins, cookies, scones, danishes, croissants, and more delicious items. If you need to order a custom cake, I definitely recommend ordering from here as there cakes are really delicious!
6. Hole In One Bakery & Coffee Shop | Eastham & Orleans
There are two locations of the Hole in One which are Eastham and Orleans. The Hole in One specializes in donuts but they have so much more, even custom cakes. For starters, the Hole in One is also one of my favorite breakfast spots with amazing eggs Benedict.
7. Maison Villatte | Falmouth
If you’re craving a French dessert then you have to check out Maison Villatte in Falmouth. Maison Villate has highly rated reviews and once you try a few of their goods you’ll know why. Since this is a popular spot things tend to sell quickly so to get the best selection of items I recommend visiting early!
8. Hatchville Baking Company | Mashpee
Hatchville Baking Co is a new bakery in the Mashpee Commons that specializes in homemade cookies. Their cookie flavors change monthly so that means I will be visiting at least monthly to try them all. The shop currently also serves up fresh coffee and drinks and hopefully, they’ll add more treats to the menu soon.
9. Scapicchio’s Bakery | Yarmouth
If you’re looking for some Italian treats then you have to visit Scapicchio’s Bakery in Yarmouth. They offer a full line of Italian & American pastries, cakes, pies, and cookies as well as fresh-baked Italian bread & Sicilian style pizza.
10. PB Boulangerie Bistro | Wellfleet
Finally, we have the award wining PB Boulangerie Bistro located in Wellfleet. PB Boulangerie Bistro is part bakery and part bistro and is known for classic pastries and delicious French fare. At the bakery part they offer croissants, cookies, sables, pastries, breads, and so much more.
