I may be biased, but the town of Barnstable is the best town on Cape Cod. It is a little bit of everything, including some of the best beaches and the hub of Cape Cod, Hyannis village.
Barnstable, the largest town on Cape Cod, spans 60 picturesque square miles and boasts seven unique villages, each with its own charming character. Framed by the sparkling waters of Cape Cod Bay to the north and Nantucket Sound to the south, Barnstable is a true gem.

Barnstable’s southern coast features the villages of Cotuit, Osterville, and Centerville with stunning homes and Nantucket Sound beaches. The northern area includes Marstons Mills, West Barnstable, and Barnstable Village, picturesque locations.
1. West Barnstable
Firstly, West Barnstable is renowned for Sandy Neck Beach, a stunning 8-mile barrier beach on Cape Cod Bay. The beach and its dunes safeguard the picturesque Great Marsh, an 8000-acre habitat for Blue Herons and other wildlife.
